2015 Maxxis Gravity East heads to Timberline Resort! (Checkout all the info...)





Downhill Race Course:
Trails used:  Twisted Sister (7) to Zinger (6)  [@ 1000 ft of vertical descent!]

Event Schedule:
Online Registration open now at  https://usacycling.org/register/2015-2684
Register now and $ave. Reduce paperwork and time this weekend!

Fri:  venue open for riding with paid lift ticket 12-6pm  ($20) + Online race registration still open
Sat:  registration & course practice 10am -6pm  
Sun: practice 9-11am  rider meeting & racing starts immediately following
       (Registration closes by 10am Sun.) 
        Awards & giveaways following conclusion of racing.

Lift hours:
Fri Sept 4 (Lift passes available Friday 12pm-6pm  for $20)
Sat Sept 5 10am-6pm  (Included with race registration)
Sun Sept 6  9am-6pm ( 9-11 practice)
Spectator lift passes available unlimited rides for $10

Number Plates:
Use your  Maxxis GES # plate.  If you do not already have one you can pick it up at registration.
Replacement plates will be available for $5.

 Camping:
Primitive camping is available on site for Free.
Bunk house accommodations with shared shower & bathroom facilities for $20 + tax
Camp sites are available at Canaan valley resort as well

Lodging:

Hotel at Timberline.  Hotel rooms $89/night Additional lodging is available at The Canaan Village Inn (304) 866.4166 and at the Canaan Valley Resort (304.866.4121

Pets:
 Leashed dogs are OK outside.

Food and Drinks:
The Red Bull wings team will be by in the custom Red Bull mini Saturday at 1pm & will be providing some free beverages.  In addition...  there is a full service restaurant and bar in the lodge.
Breakfast buffet available Sat & Sun 7 to 10am for $10.

Entertainment:

Live Music:  Carpenter Ants  Fri. 7-11pm      (No cover charge for registered racers!)
                                                Sat 8 to 11pm

2015 Maxxis Gravity East Series #3 at Blue Mountain THIS Weekend! + Beer, BBQ & Bourbon Festival! Details below...




Downhill Race Course:
Trails used:  Formula –OCS  -Loose Cannon -Happy Ending. 
This race course reduces course crossings to one trail and allows access the rest of the bike park during practice & the race.

Fri Aug 21 (Lift passes available Friday 12pm-6pm  for $30)
Sat Aug 22 10am-6pm  (Included with race registration)
Sun Aug 23 9am-6pm ( 9-11 practice)
*Hiking is permitted from sun up to sundown.

Red Bull will be providing some beverages at the race Sunday.  In addition...
There’s  a full service restaurant to the Summit Lodge.  The Slopeside Pub and Grille will be open race weekend until 11pm and has great food and a good drink selection.  During the day we’ll have food available at the mountain bike center as well. 
On Saturday Aug 22 we are also having a Beer, Bourbon and BBQ festival at the Summit.  Details are here:

Special Thanks to all the great people who contributed to make this event possible and a success!  That's just about everyone involved including the racers who also helped with track maintenance after the rain passed .  Things looked dicey for a bit there.  Qualifying was still a bit slick for the early ones.  Then after the bracketing  delay the sun came out and the track ended up between tacky and fast.  Made for some super racing
